Blu Navy is an Italian ferry operator founded in 2010 as BN di Navigazione, focused on the Piombino-Portoferraio crossing to the Tuscan island of Elba. The company has steadily grown into an established brand on the route, with up to 24 daily departures in summer and a fleet built around the twin ferries Acciarello and Tremestieri. Headquarters are in Portoferraio.
Acciarello is a 113 metre, 18 metre wide ROPAX with a capacity of 1,000 passengers and 230 vehicles, designed with a double command bridge so cars and trucks can embark and disembark in the same direction in less than 30 minutes. Twin sister Tremestieri has the same profile. Vesta covers winter sailings. Aethalia, the newest ferry in the fleet, entered service in 2025. Onboard there are spacious open-air decks, indoor seating with large side windows and TVs, and a snack bar. The product is positioned for a short, frequent and family-friendly crossing.
SimpleFerry issues an e-ticket. Vehicle passengers should be at Piombino 30 minutes before departure; foot passengers 15 minutes before. Round-trip discounts of up to 20%, group rates and resident or Elba-born discounts apply where eligible.
Pets are welcome on board the Blu Navy ferries to Elba.
