Batam Fast Ferry Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based ferry company established in 1985, operating high-speed passenger crossings between Singapore and the Indonesian island of Batam. The company started with two small ferries (Bintan 2 and Bintan 3) and has grown into one of the four major operators on the Singapore-Batam corridor with a fleet of around 21 to 26 vessels and dozens of daily departures.
The fleet of 21 to 26 high-speed catamarans is sized at around 140 to 338 passengers per vessel. Crossings are short (45 to 70 minutes), so the focus is on quick boarding and turn-around rather than onboard amenities. Vessels offer indoor air-conditioned seating, basic snacks and beverages, and toilets. There are no cabins, no vehicle decks and no extensive food service. Batam Fast Ferry competes with Sindo Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry and Horizon Fast Ferry on the same Singapore-Batam corridor.
Batam Fast Ferry tickets booked through SimpleFerry are issued as e-tickets. Passengers should arrive at the terminal at least 60 minutes before departure to allow time for immigration on both sides. Hand luggage is allowed at no charge (around 10 kg) plus a check-in piece of around 20 kg. Heavier or oversized bags incur surcharges. Pets are not allowed on Batam Fast Ferry crossings.
