Fleet and onboard experience

The fleet of nine ferries focuses on high-frequency, all-weather service. The vessels are built for short crossings and carry both foot passengers and vehicles, including cars, motorhomes and small trucks. Onboard amenities are basic by design. Most ferries have indoor seating, a small snack bar and an outdoor deck. Crossings of 1 to 1.5 hours do not need cabins. Kerkyra Lines is the only operator with a year-round daily service to the three inhabited Diapontian Islands (Erikoussa, Mathraki and Othoni). The same fleet covers the Corfu-Igoumenitsa-Paxos triangle.

Booking, check-in and luggage on SimpleFerry

Kerkyra Lines tickets booked through SimpleFerry are issued as e-tickets. Boarding generally closes 30 to 45 minutes before departure depending on whether a vehicle is involved. Free luggage allowance is up to 50 kg per passenger, or as much as can be carried by a foot passenger. Vehicles are loaded by deck staff and need to be at the terminal at least 60 minutes before sailing. Online bookings receive substantial discounts compared to walk-up port pricing on the same crossings.

Pet policy

Pets are not currently accepted on Kerkyra Lines short crossings between Corfu and Igoumenitsa according to current operator advisories. Travellers with pets should check the booking flow at time of purchase, as policies are seasonal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest Corfu to Igoumenitsa ferry?

Kerkyra Lines vessels run the Corfu-Igoumenitsa crossing in 1 hour 10 minutes — the fastest scheduled time on this route.

Can I take a car to the Diapontian Islands?

Yes. The daily Diapontian service since 2021 accepts vehicles. Spaces are limited because the islands are small, so booking ahead is recommended in summer.

Is the Corfu-Paxos route direct?

Most Paxos services route via Igoumenitsa rather than direct from Corfu. Total journey time including the change is around 3 hours.
