Fleet and onboard experience

The fleet is anchored by Viking Glory, a 2022 LNG-powered ship that sails Turku to Stockholm, and Viking Grace, the 2013 LNG ship still operating the same route. M/S Gabriella, M/S Viking XPRS, M/S Viking Cinderella and Birka Gotland round out the passenger fleet. Onboard facilities on the larger overnight ships include cabins across multiple categories, sit-down restaurants, buffets, bars, tax-free shopping, conference rooms and entertainment programmes. Day-crossing ships such as Viking XPRS focus on tax-free shopping and quick-service restaurants. In 2024 Viking Line signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ports of Stockholm and the Port of Turku to establish a green corridor on the Turku-Stockholm route by 2035.

Booking, check-in and luggage on SimpleFerry

Tickets are confirmed instantly. Cancellation policies vary by ticket type. Foot passengers should arrive at the terminal at least 30 to 60 minutes before departure depending on the route. Vehicles need to be at the terminal at least 60 minutes before sailing. Luggage allowance is generous: passengers may bring as many bags as they can carry without an extra charge. Larger items such as bikes are typically subject to a separate fee added during booking.

Pet policy

Pets are welcome on Viking Line ships. Most overnight vessels offer dedicated pet-friendly cabins that must be booked at the time of reservation. Pets need standard EU travel documentation including a pet passport and rabies vaccination.
